Week 15 - Tech Tip - Google Timer

I had never tried to set a timer on google before. I don't know if anyone else had any problems getting it to work but it worked perfectly for me. I think it could be super useful for setting study break timer for me. I have a tendency to ignore my phone whenever I have my computer open which means phone timers don't work great for me. I think this might work a little bit better!

Week 13 - Extra Credit - Typing Test Tech Tip

Test 1: Keyhero: 52.36 WPM/ 92.5% Accuracy
Test 2: Speed Typing Online: 53 WPM/ 93% Accuracy


While I got almost the exact same result from both tests I liked the layout of Keyhero much better. I also noticed that I often mistype a and d and try to type commas instead of periods a lot. Moving forward I will try to watch out for these specific mistakes in my writing. I hadn't done speed typing tests since I was in high school and I really liked them. I think I could definetely work to improve my speed and accuracy.

Tech Tip - Pinterest Board

For this assignment I actually created a new pinterest account and made a board called Epics of India Portfolio Board. I pinned stuff from other board really easily. However I was completely unable to get the save from website function to work. I tried a few different times on several different pins and it still wouldn't work.

Tech Tip: Announcements Email

I don't normally look at announcements as I log into my Canvas. I normally just go strait to whatever assignment I need to do or module I need to fill out. I think that by subscribing to the email I will be more up to date with the class during these last few weeks. I think it could help me get back on track as I often forget about assignments when I don't have a reminder set.

Tech Tip - Blogger template

I actually did this tech tip weeks ago but never wrote up a blog post about it! I played around with different themes for my bog for almost an hour until finally deciding on the Ethereal theme in pink. While I don't normally like pink background for anything, I liked the birds on the side and thought that it gave my blog a whimsical feel, which I thought was appropriate for the subject matter! I also widened the page slightly and increased the font size. Overall I really like how the layout turned out!

Tech Tip: Canvas Mobile App

I downloaded the Canvas app onto my phone at the end of last semester. Overall I have liked the app so far. It has a push notification option that I have found really useful. Unfortunately, the app seems to glitch a lot. So far it hasn't glitched as bad as some other apps but it still glitches probably once every other week.
